| Resources: NetEquality provides resources for governmental agencies, communities,
non-profits, CDCs, and housing authorities throughout the world to
install their wireless networks.
Customers: We work with low-income property owners and managers to
design, install and
monitor the complete system, sharing
one or more DSL connections. Typically, the cost per apartment is less
than $25 to install and less than $1 for recurring monthly DSL costs. |
News: Recently an article appeared in the NYT. It is a great introduction to Meraki and NetEquality.

Our Mission:
|
NetEquality is a
501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to providing free internet
access for low-income communities. We provide planning, deployment resources and internet mesh products
worldwide and install free network hardware in qualified
communities in the Pacific Northwest.
We rely on generous donors, customers of our store, clients of our
services, and
volunteers to support our work. Your donations and purchases directly
support expanding internet access to low-income communities locally and
throughout the world.

Technology: Our
networks create a wireless "mesh" to spread a DSL connection over an
entire apartment
complex, neighborhood or other housing community. Each wireless access point can talk to its neighbors and
repeat the signal back to the DSL.
Installation: We use the highly-acclaimed Meraki Mini access
point in a secure housing
that simply plugs into any wall outlet. See our
complete Installation
Guide for detailed instructions on setting up and managing a
wireless network.
Mapping & Monitoring. We also offer
extended mapping and
monitoring of your network so you'll be able to see how it is
performing at any
time.
